Lucas Martínez & Benjamín García present a co-led project born from a shared need to reconnect with their roots. Coming from different backgrounds —Mexico and Catalonia— both musicians went through similar processes of musical rediscovery while living abroad. Jazz and improvisation became their shared language, giving shape to a personal and contemporary vision of jazz music from Barcelona and Mexico. The result is an album rooted in jazz, subtly infused with Mexican, Latin American, and Spanish musical influences.

The album features six original compositions —three by each artist— and includes two world-renowned guest musicians: drummer Antonio Sánchez and pianist Marco Mezquida. Each track represents a stage in an emotional journey: the energetic opening of “CDMX – BCN”, the longing in “Morriña”, the melancholic depth of “Colibrí”, the introspective mood of “Montañas”, the hopeful tone of “Pradera”, and the final celebration in “La Plaza”, which features special guest guitarist Dariel Peniazek.
